DECS

DECS operates a computer recycling program that provides the College of Engineering with access to recycled, refurbished, or otherwise reusable computers. The intent of this computer recycling program is to provide desktop computers to those within the college that do not have the funds for new computers or have experienced failures and need something immediately. The computers will be at least three years old, but they will still provide a more than adequate level of performance for a standard desktop computer. If you require a computer with additional performance or resources, please consider contacting the DECS Support Office for assistance in purchasing a new computer.

Please complete the form below to request a single (1) recycled computer. If additional computers are required, please submit additional forms. This form shall be completed by faculty or staff. Students, please do not submit this form as it will only delay your request. Please be aware that we do assign a lower priority to requests submitted during the month surrounding the beginning of each semester. Summer semesters are the best time of the year to request a recycled computer.

Each computer will be supplied with a gently used keyboard and mouse. The availability of a recycled/used monitor fluctuates and we usually do not have monitors. The DECS Support Office can assist with purchasing a monitor if we do not have any available.
