The Day With SWE Committee plans a day-long event for high school women seniors who have been admitted to MSU and declared engineering as a major. Participants learn about SWE, MSU and Engineering through a series of activities including:
- A panel of current SWE members
- Presentation on the benefits of SWE membership
- Social time to meet SWE members and get to know other incoming freshmen participants
- Lab Tours in areas like Materials Science and Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Civil Engineering
- Informal tour of Campus
- Mini-Organization Event for participants to learn about other engineering student organizations
- Take home information on important details of MSU and the College of Engineering
