Vacation / Auto Responder Email

Engineering mail account holders can set up automatic replies for when they are out-of-office or otherwise unavailable to respond to email.


Instructions

Faculty, Staff & Current Students:

Navigate to the DECS web services login page at https://www.egr.msu.edu/decs/myaccount/?page=login, and login with your EGR credentials.

Under the Account menu on the left side of the screen, navigate to "E-MAIL AUTO RESPONDER".


By default, leaving the first "From" box blank on this screen will cause the auto responder to send using your engineering email address. This is typically desired. If you want replies to your auto responder to be sent to an alternative egr email address, type it in this box.

In the second box, provide the subject that should accompany your auto responder message. In the third box, provide the body of your auto responder message. To save these changes, click the "Enable Auto Responder" box and then click the "Save" button.

To disable your auto responder email, uncheck the "Enable Auto Responder" box and click "Save".
