MSU campus: | Autumn | Winter | Spring | Summer | 12 reason to come to MSU

Graduate Students

Undergraduate students interested in pursuing a Ph.D. or Masters in Materials Sciences or Chemical Engineering. However, you should also apply to other MSU programs (e.g. chemistry, Physics, CMSE). In other words you should first apply directly to the Department Graduate Program at MSU. Make sure to mention your interest in the Mendoza group in your personal statement. After receiving admission to the Graduate program, please email Professor Mendoza if interested in arriving early to participate in summer research (prior to the start of the fall semester). Current MSU graduate students that are interested in joining the Mendoza Lab should email jmendozaATmsu.edu to set up a meeting or stop by any of his offices.

Undergraduate Students

Undergraduate students interested in Honors Research, Research Projects or Directed Individual Study should email Professor Mendoza-Cortes a brief statement of goals and interests, an unofficial transcript, and an updated resume or CV. Prior to joining the group and beginning research, undergraduate students are encouraged to have passed advanced math and some programming experience. Students are expected to make a multi-semester (2-5) commitment to their research projects with the goal of publishing original research results.
