IV Assistant Robot - The Team - Lam Nguyen

Lam Nguyen was assigned group leader for the tracking system of the IV robot. , He was in charge of developing, testing, and integrating mathematical models from concept to implementation. His research began with looking through various localization methods that can be implemented for our project. With existing mathematical models from other wireless localization, he was able to simplify an existing model to fit with our design specifications therefore reducing complexity and delays between microcontroller processes. His refined model helped to establish placements for components in our design. Apart from his responsibilities, he worked actively in the designing and coding of our project.

He also worked with Brandon and Bhim in brainstorming concepts that could further improve quality of our design; and with Vince in inspecting the logic of the microcontroller for optimal performance.

Finally, Lam was also in charge of coordinating all forms of documentations for the team. His main tasks included prepare, review, and supervision of all needed documents for submissions. He worked closely with other team members to ensure everyone had equal amount of responsibilities across all documents. He laid out skeleton and detailed questions for each written documents. He worked closely with presentation manager in preparation of written, visual, and oral presentation. With the team only 4 members, he also took the role of the supervision of all laboratory equipment, experiments and procedures. He was tasked with maintenance of all the equipment and the team's assigned locker.
