Clinton "Ted" Borden

Clinton "Ted" Borden (BS Metallurgy '50) of Wyoming, Mich., died Nov. 6. He was 93.

He was born to Clinton and Helen (Barnes) Borden on April 26,1922 in Oak Park, IL.

He served in the Army Air Corps in World War II as an aircraft mechanic.

He graduated from Michigan State University, earning a bachelor's degree in engineering. He continued his metallurgy career with General Motors Diesel Equipment, until his retirment.

He and his wife, Elizabeth, celebrated 58 years of marriage, until she preceded him in death.

Surviving are his daughters, Betsy (Matt Mercado), Jill Borden; granddaughters, Elise Holmes, Tanda (Jim) Newland, Miriam (Brad) Deering, and Melea Gmiter; his brother, Jack Borden; brother-in-law, Eston King; sister-in-law, Jan Duncan, wonderful nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Senior Meals Program in Grandville, Mich.
