Particle Pulverization

You are here

Reducing particles to micron-scale size.

The reduction of the size solid particles is accomplished by an array of equipment at the CMSC including a vibratory ball mill, ultrasonic processors, a cryogenic hammer mill, and a high pressure homogenizer. Depending on the materials and processes used, particles may be reduced to sizes on the order of 1, 10, or 100 microns.
