Optical Microscopy

Three Olympus optical microscopes with total real magnification ranging from 5x to 1000x are available, having reflected-source, transmitted-source, cross-polarized, and brightfield/darkfield capabliities.  The Spot Camera is used with the Olympus microscopes for recording digital micrographs.  A hot stage is also available for elevated temperature microscopy to 300C. We also have a stereo-zoom working microscope for low magnification tasks. The recently acquired Keyence digital microscope extends the capacity for increased depth-of-field from 10 to 1000x magnification, 3-D profile mapping, and video capture.
