CONTROLSUITE
ControlSUITE for C2000 microcontrollers is a set of software infrastructure and tools for software designed to minimize the time spent on developing software. The software contains device-specific drivers, support software, complete system examples in complex applications, and much more. ControlSUITE provides libraries and examples at every stage of development.
CODE COMPOSER
Code Composer Studio is Texas Instruments IDE for microcontrollers and digital signal processors. We are using this to build and test our code for the MSP430. We also used this to run sample code for the C2000 control card that we recieved for TI. This IDE fully intergrates with the MSP430 and the C2000 microcontroller familys. It comes packed with all of the headers for these chip familys and has a built in debugger.
Pads layout
PADS layout is a powerful PCB design tool produced by Mentor Graphics. A large portion of our senior design project, is designing a control card using the MSP430 family of microcontrollers, based on the preexisting C2000 control card developed by Texas Instruments. We used this software to modify the existing C2000 control card design to reflect the pin changes and peripherial circuitry changes necessary to produce a functional MSP430 control card. This software also produces the Gerber files used to fabricate our design.
