     Control Card

This is the Texas Instruments C2000 Control Card. Our project design starts with this card and our final product needs to have the same functionality as the card shown above.

This Emulation module allows us to develop code on the MSP430 while we complete our Control Card design.  It uses a 14 pin MSP430 as opposed to the 80 pin MSP430 we will be using to develop our Control Card.

The MSP430 Family is a set of Ultra low power 16-bit microcontrollers. To the left is a picture of the actual MSP430 that our group decided on using for the redesign of the control card.

     Driver Board

This is the board that the control card connects to. It has the rest of the circuitry needed to drive and control motors including amplifiers, ADCs and DACs. It is supplied by duel 12V inputs and has a 100 pin DIMM slot to interface with different control cards.
