Heat Treatment
The workhorse of our lab is the synthesis of material at multi-segments of termperature. For that purpose, we count with an Oven and three Carbolite Furnances.

Our oven can go to temperatures up to 200C. |
We count with two units of furnace that go to temperatures as high as 1300C. One of this furnaces is set up for inert atmosphere environment of Argon gas. |

Mixing Stations
Proper dissolution and mixing of the reagents is key for fabrication of glasses as well as for the basic characterization of bioactivity in our materials.

This shaker allows fixation of different sizes and shapes of probes for study. The control enables programation of different speeds, temperatures and times. |
Agitation of particles by ultrasound has proven to be a useful tool for dispersion and faster dissolution. It can be used for fabrication and equipment cleaning |
The principal tool for thin coatings in our lab is spin coating. This equipment comes with heads of different sizes useful for different substrates and a control pannel that enables programation at different speeds and durations.
