Advanced facilities

PUMA lab has state of the art facilities which allow you to do a wide range of both experimental and numerical work. More information can be found under Lab and facilities.

Multidisciplinary exposure

PUMA lab has students from both Electrical and Mechanical engineering. Students will learn a wide range of multi-disciplinary techniques which are currently required in the job market. PUMA lab is also part of the prestigious and highly multi-disciplinary NDEL lab.

Job prospects

NDE, material characterization, acoustics are mature areas where getting a job is guaranteed. We have a wide range of industrial and national lab connections, such as GE, Rolls Royce, AFRL, Sandia and many more. 

OPEN POSITIONS :

PhD student: Looking for strongly motivated graduate student in ME department. Student will be working in the area of additive manufacturing and ultrasonic NDE. Masters is required.   

Undergraduate Research assistant: There is an opening for an undergraduate research assistant either in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
