About the Project
A Dispenser Cup Contents Detection system is a desirable new feature for the end consumer of a Whirlpool washing machine unit. Differentiating between powder and liquid wash process chemicals optimizes both energy and water usage in the wash process. Incorporation of liquid bleach and fabric softener information is further desirable. Team 2 will provide a prototype Dispenser Cup Contents Detection system with an added user friendly interface that complies with ENERGY STAR standards. The system solution needs to interface with up to four sensors and shall be robust to all wash process chemicals as well as residual moisture and vibration.
