Smart Phone Control of Advanced Sensor Systems

 

 

Our team has been working on creating a method of controlling and monitoring multiple sensors using an Android based smart-phone.  To accomplish this task we split up the project into two different types of nodes, the sensor nodes and the android node.  Each sensor node is composed of a MiWi Tranciever and Explorer 16 Development Board.  The android node is composed of a MiWi Tranciever, the Explorer 16 Development Board, a USB PICTAIL+ and a PIC24FJ256GB110 PIM.  We split up the project into four basic parts:  developing the sensor nodes, developing the Andoid nodes, developing the MiWi communication code, developing the Android GUI.
