Apr 25th - All Done
We are done with the assembly and testing. Still some paperwork to complete but our project is done. The results aren't exactly what we expected but I'm proud of our achievement. Check out the working project in the
media section of the website.
Apr 15th - Full Speed Ahead
All of our parts are in and we can begin the final assembly and testing. Design day is just around the corner! The motor control circuitry still needs to be finalized and mounted on the camera mount and the software will need to be tweaked after testing but it's starting to take shape.
Mar 25th - Movement!
We got the mount to rotate from the output of the phone. After a few small tweaks we shoul able to get more precise control. Check out our baby steps in the
media section of the website.
Mar 1st - Scrapped Circuit Design
Had to overhaul our motor control circuit design. The band-pass filters are not working as expected and we fried a motor controller. Major setback but now we get to use a PIC. The future looks bright.
Feb 20th - Finished Construction of the Camera Mount
The camera mount was finished today, it looks like everything should fit in place niceley. Even the gears fit together on the first try. Yan really pulled through.
Feb 3rd - Finished our Pre-Proposal
The pre-proposal for our project has been finished and uploaded to the
documents section of this website.
Jan 25th - Talked with Dr. Oweiss
Talked with Dr. Oweiss, our group sponsor here at MSU, about how to approach our project. He suggested we draw a systems diagram to outline all of the components we will have to impliment during the design process.
Jan 17th - Talked with Dr. LeMaster
Talked with Dr. LeMaster of the AFRL about the details of our project. We created a nice list of requirements and determined some extra things we would like to add to the specifications based on our conversation.
