The new design has been prototyped in LEGOs and work on the audio, control, and display circuitry has begun.
In the Fall of 2008 a group of engineering students from MSU designed a robotic machine which allowed a physically disabled worker to cut to the correct length, more ribbons then his more physically able co-workers. This fall our team will improve their design. We intend to improve the robustness of roller motor controller circuit. We will add variable speed controls to the machine. And we will make the machine simple to program using LEGO MindStorm.
