A new journal article by Hao Wen is now available online in the Journal of Applied Electrochemistry [1]. The article describes a technique to fabricate nanotube microelectrodes with multiscale porosity. Polystyrene beads with uniform diameter of 500 nm were used to template a NT layer on a carbon fiber micoroelectrode. The fabricated structure was made into fiber microelectrodes to conduct glucose oxidation, resulting in two fold increase of limiting current density comparing to template-free CNT supported electrodes.
This work is based on previous paper from our group describing CNT-modified carbon fiber electrodes [2].
