Dear Cathy and Leo,

A belated but heartfelt thanks for your kindness in sending gifts for the girls. Amelia (2 y.o.) absolutely loves her bus and delights in pushing it around the house - especially underfoot when we are trying to make dinner. She particularly likes the little Chinese girl passenger who we sometimes have to wrest from her hands at bedtime or schooltime. Antonia (4 y.o.) is having a great time making sculptures and "food" with her playdoh. Her first creation was a very cute little "pizza" (which looked a lot better than it tasted). Your gifts were right on target as Antonia is the artistic one, while Amelia is a bus driver (if not a tank operator). The girls are also having lots of fun with their markers - doing some serious work in our kitchen-turned-studio after dinner. Amelia prefers the table as a medium, so we appreciate the washable ink.

We sincerely appreciate your thoughtfulness, and hope that we can get together sometime soon to get to know you all.

Many thanks,

Jack, Joan, Antonia Jiang, and Amelia Tian Deller
