The MIDI Lab is currently working on translational medical research projects for topics including machine learning for quantitative diagnostics, cardiac perfusion estimation, quantitative PET and CT imaging, radiation dose optimization, and increased efficiency in the delivery of diagnostic healthcare.
The MSU Department of Biomedical Engineering was founded in 2016 and is in a period of significant and sustained growth and expansion. Our vibrant, innovative department aims to develop new methods for understanding, diagnosing, and treating medical conditions, and translating discoveries from the laboratory to the classroom and the clinic.
The MIDI Lab has developed a set educational materials to provide hands on experience with using AI methods for healthcare applications.
I teach and previously served as the administrative director for undergraduate studies in CMSE, offering minors and a major in Data Science. These comprehensive programs prepare students to apply data science and computation to solve real-world problems.
