Contract Opportunities
Research Projects are used in cases where scientific discovery is involved:
- Partnership in innovation
- MSU-owned or jointly-owned IP
- Opportunities for exclusive licensing
- Eventual MSU publication rights
Fee-for-Service Projects are used in cases where a company would like MSU to run a set of predetermined conditions:
- Standard testing or validation of process concepts
- No MSU contribution to innovation
- IP remains with sponsor
- Lower administrative cost
- Publication requires sponsor consent
