Weeks, Narayan, Cetin, Masten to receive top college honors

MSU Engineering honors for diversity, global and student services  

The Michigan State University College of Engineering will recognize four faculty and staff members for excellence in diversity, global leadership, and student service during the 33rd Annual Engineering Awards. The honors are considered among the college’s most prestigious distinctions and will be presented on Wednesday, March 22, at 5:30 p.m. at the University Club.

Statewide effort promotes new careers in electric vehicles, mobility

MSU will be joining the Michigan Economic Development Corporation’s new Talent Action Team, a public-private partnership, to recruit electric vehicle and mobility talent to Michigan. A new scholarship program was announced Wednesday, March 1, in a virtual press conference with Michigan Lt. Gov. Garlin Gilchrist II.

Xinyue Liu

Xinyue Liu joined the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Science at Michigan State University as an assistant professor in 2023. Her vision is leveraging material innovations to address key challenges in sustainability and health. Her research group focuses on developing multiscale structures and designing multiphysics behaviors of living materials, and building high-performance living devices for medical, water, agriculture, and construction.
