Tianxing Li

Tianxing's research interests are in mobile computing and human-computer interaction (HCI). Specifically, his recent work focuses on designing novel human sensing systems using light. These projects involve interdisciplinary areas of mobile sensing, health, signal processing, and machine learning. His vision is that light can be a primary modality for fine-grained human sensing.

Emily Dolson

Emily Dolson is an assistant professor in Computer Science of Engineering and core faculty in the Ecology, Evolution, and Behavior program. The goal of her research is to develop an algorithmic approach to controlling the trajectory of evolution in complex ecological communities.

Huacheng Zeng

Huacheng Zeng is an Assistant Professor of Computer Science and Engineering at Michigan State University. His research interest is in computer networking and sensing systems. He is a recipient of NSF CAREER Award 2019.

Borzoo Bonakdarpour

Borzoo Bonakdarpour’s research interests include formal methods, security/privacy, cyber-physical systems, and distributed computing. Prior to joining MSU he was an assistant professor in the Department of Computer Science at Iowa State University. His research has been funded by NSF and NSERC (Canada).

Sijia Liu

Sijia Liu received  Ph.D. degree (with All-University Doctoral Prize) in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Syracuse University, NY, USA, in 2016. He was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, in 2016-2017, and a Research Staff Member at the MIT-IBM Watson AI Lab in 2018-2020. His research interests include trustworthy AI, optimization for deep learning, computer vision, signal processing, and computational biology.

Zhichao Cao

Zhichao Cao’s research interests lie broadly in Internet of Things (IoT) systems, edge computing and mobile computing. He mainly focuses on developing computation and networking systems to enable deep intelligence in various industrial scenarios. In wild oil fields, he develops OilNet, which provides a high-speed and easy-to-deployment mesh back-bone newtork, for various production and security purposes.
