Lixin Dong, assistant professor of electrical and computer engineering, has received a National Science Foundation CAREER Award for his research in nanorobotics, nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS), and enabling nanomanufacturing technologies for fluidic, photonic, biomedical, and other nanosystems.

Ten receive top honors during 2016 Engineering Awards Luncheon 

Members of the Michigan State University College of Engineering gathered in the University Club March 17 to celebrate accomplishments in teaching, scholarship, and service at the 26th Engineering Awards Luncheon. 

Leo Kempel, dean of the College of Engineering, greeted more than 100 guests, along with the winners of the prestigious awards during the annual spring ceremony.

The College of Engineering honored faculty and staff members for excellence in teaching, scholarship, and service at the 24th annual Engineering Awards Luncheon March 13 at the University Club of MSU.

Leo Kempel, acting dean of the College of Engineering, offered the welcome and congratulated the winners of some of the college’s most prestigious awards.

Withrow Teaching Excellence Awards honor faculty teaching, advising and mentoring skills. One faculty member is selected from each academic unit, based primarily on nominations from students.

The 25th anniversary of the Engineering Awards Luncheon celebrated teachers, scholars and service on March 19 at the University Club of Michigan State University.
