All registered papers will be published in the conference proceedings. Then, if they are regularly presented at SDEMPED, they will be sent to IEEE Xplore (no-show papers will be excluded). All papers submitted to IEEE Xplore are likely to be screened by iThenticate to find plagiarism problems, but this is not something under the control of the Organizing Committee of SDEMPED. Theoretically, IEEE Xplore may refuse the papers with high similarity scores, and this is why SDEMPED has provided the authors with the similarity reports of the preliminary papers to help them identify the most controversial parts of their manuscripts.

Finally, the authors may want to submit their papers to a Transaction journal. At present, IEEE requires some differences between the post conference paper and the journal paper. See IEEE’s PSPB Operations Manual sections 8.1.7.E:

Furthermore, each journal has its own guidelines, reported hereafter, which prospective authors should read with attention:

It is worth noting that "Post conference paper without substantial improvement  (40%) over the original paper may be rejected".

It is expressly written that "Improvements and additions beyond the conference paper should be made".

The actual policy invites the authors to modify the paper and add improvements.

In addition, these three journals use the services of iThenticate for the received papers. The level of 30% is usually considered an attention threshold of similarity.

Paper submission has been extended to the 8th of March 2017. No further extension is anticipated.

Authors are encouraged to submit their papers as early as possible and to help expedite review. This will facilitate hotel arrangements, as the tourist season on TINOS has recently been extended.

Submission of provisional full papers: 15th February 2017 8th March 2017
Notification of acceptance: 15th April 2017

Final papers should be accompanied by a completed IEEE copyright form, . After submitting the paper, it is necessary to compete the IEEE electronic copyright form (eCF). A link to the eCF procedure, in red color, will appear next to the title of the submitted manuscript. The link will turn into green color after having transferred the copyright to IEEE.

CVs of the authors can be submitted with the paper, or biographies of the authors can be included at the end of the paper.

SDEMPED will submit the post-conference papers for publication in IEEE Xplore. All papers have to have the appropriate copyright statements at the bottom of the first page. The submitted paper should look like this. Versions of the IEEE templates including these statements are available for MS Word and LaTeX
