Mid-June Dr. Bush’s lab group attended the Summer Bioengineering, Biomechanics and Biotransport Conference in Maryland.
Conferences
Eighteen MSU ME faculty and students attended the conference in Maryland - podiums/posters were given by each PhD student. Also four awards were received by the MSU group.
Conferences
Archana Lamsal, a Ph.D. student in Dr. Bush’s lab, received the Gary L. Cloud award this year. This award will allow her to attend the 2022 Society for Experimental Mechanics conference. She was chosen based on her field of study, an application essay, and a letter of endorsement. Congratulations again to Archana!
Awards
Dr. Bush had 4 of her undergraduate students graduate this semester. Chris Sadler, Katharine Walters, Emily Kelly, and Paige Cordts received their degrees for mechanical engineering at the graduation ceremony held on May 8th. All the graduates had worked in Dr. Bush’s lab for four years. Katharine graduated with a perfect 4.0 and was awarded the NSF Graduate Fellowship.

Dr. Bush was the keynote speaker for the Midwest American Society of Biomechanics conference. She presented what work she has been doing in all areas of her research.

Justin Scott wins the doctoral research competition for the ASB conference.
Awards
Paige Cordts and Dr. Bush's journal publication is in the Disability and Health Journal titled Mobility challenges and peceptions of autonomous vehicles for individuals with physical disabilities. This is Paige's first journal publication.
