On December 20th, 2023 Ava Carson presented to Trenton High School junior and senior students about the opportunities at Michigan State. Specifically, She talked about the mechanical engineering program and concentrations within it. She also presented some of the projects Dr. Bush’s lab has been working on.
This outreach helped inform high schoolers what research at a university is like and why it is fun and exciting to get involved with research as an undergrad.
Ava made it a very interactive presentation by asking questions. They enthusiastically answered her questions to receive MSU Engineering t-shirts. Some even followed up after the presentation to ask questions about engineering and biomechanics at Michigan State.
