The Academic Intensive Summer Residential Program (AISRP), formerly known as DAPCEP, lasts for 3 weeks on the Michigan State University Campus. This program is designed to give students, grades 9-11, preliminary exposure to life on a college campus, instruction in computer programming/design, math, technical writing, research using the web, and further their knowledge through educational field trips and excursions. One such excursion is to the Bush Labs where they learn about technology to measure human motions, interface pressures and force interactions. They also learn about the most recent research projects occuring in the laboratory. Below Sam Leitkam and Abinand Manorama explain their research to the students, introduce them to the measurement equipment and the models used in the lab.
