Himanshu has been involved in Additive Manufacturing/3D Printing using laser energy since 2011. His graduate work and industrial experience was focused on Laser based Directed Energy Deposition (Laser-DED) 3D Printing and Hybrid Manufacturing of metallic and metal-ceramic structures.

His research group is a part of the larger Laboratory of Advanced Manufacturing Processes (LAMP) at Michigan State University.
