Charles W. Festian Jr.

Charles W. Festian Jr. (BS Mech Egr ʾ66) of Cape Coral, Fla., died September 13, 2012, at the age of 69. He was born May 10, 1943, in Chicago, Ill., to Charles and Lydia Festian. He graduated from Cooley High School in Detroit.

Festian loved music and his musical training started early under the direction of his father, Charles Sr., who was the choir director of the local Baptist church in Detroit and continued through high school honors choir. He was a member of the Epiphany Episcopal Vocal and Bell Choir and the Sounds of Florida singing group. He also actively served as a volunteer with Lee County Parks and Recreation of Ft. Myers, Fla., and Epiphany Church Pastoral Care.

He is survived by his wife of 17 years Kay; mother, Lydia, of Sterling Heights, Mich.; siblings Jerry (Pam) of Troy, Mich., and Susan (Ron) Sipp of Tuscan, Ariz.; sons Gregory (Diane) of Plymouth, Mich., and Jeffery (Stephanie) of Grand Rapids, Mich.; and grandchildren Amber, Adam, Lydia P., Jacquelin, and Korey.
