Alexander Ewanchuk

Alexander Ewanchuk (BS ELEC EGR ’62), Snow Hill, Maryland, died Feb. 26, 2017, at Chesapeake Cottage in Snow Hill. He was 96.

He was born Aug. 5, 1920, in McLean, Saskatchewan, Canada, and became an American citizen at the age of 3.

He enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1938, serving his country for 20 years in both World War II and the Korean Conflict. Following completion of his service, he attended Michigan State University and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering in 1962.

He was employed by the Westinghouse Defense Plant, where he continued his relationship with the Navy through various contracts.

A private memorial service was conducted.
