Students achieve 4.0 GPA

Fourteen Spartan Engineers receive Board of Trustees Award this spring

Fourteen students in the College of Engineering were among those honored by the Board of Trustees for having the highest scholastic average at the close of their last semester in attendance at Michigan State University - a 4.0 GPA.

Fourteen Spartan Engineering students achieved a perfect 4.0 GPA for their final semester at MSU.

For the spring 2020 semester, 91 students received the Board of Trustees Award. The Spartan Engineering students are:

Leah Allen of Detroit. Allen is a biosystems engineering major in the College of Engineering. She is a member of the Honors College and attended Mattawan High School.

• Matthew Arenz of Clarkston. Arenz is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. He is a member of the Honors College and attended Lake Orion High School.

• Erin Bahm of Farmington Hills. Bahm is an applied engineering sciences major in the College of Engineering. She attended North Farmington High School.

• Camille Emig of Grand Rapids. Emig is a computer science major in the College of Engineering. She is a member of the Honors College and attended City-Middle High School.

Nathan Engler of Oxford. Engler is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. He is a member of the Honors College and attended Notre Dame Preparatory.

• Brandon Field of Caledonia. Field is a computer science major in the College of Engineering. He attended Caledonia High School.

Brandon Garrison of Canton. Garrison is a computer science major in the College of Engineering. He is a member of the Honors College and attended Plymouth High School.

• James Jahns of Northville. Jahns is a computer science major in the College of Engineering. He is a member of the Honors College and attended Winston Churchill High School.

Nehemiah Mork of Midland. Mork is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. He is a member of the Honors College and attended Herbert Henry Dow High School.

• Scott Piper of Naperville, IL. Piper is a biosystems engineering major in the College of Engineering. He is a member of the Honors College and attended Naperville Central High School.

Alexander Shaw of Troy. Shaw is an applied engineering sciences major in the College of Engineering. He is a member of the Honors College and attended Athens High School.

• Zachary Smith of Westland. Smith is a chemical engineering major in the College of Engineering. He is a member of the Honors College and attended Winston Churchill High School.

Cheney Wang of Sterling Heights. Wang is a computer science major in the College of Engineering. Wang is a member of the Honors College and attended Forest Hills Central High School.

Leah Williams of Pinckney. Williams is a mechanical engineering major in the College of Engineering. She is a member of the Honors College and attended Pinckney Community High School.
