MSU researcher receives prestigious young investigator award

Michigan State University’s Sophia Lunt, an adjunct faculty member in chemical engineering and materials science, has been awarded the 2020 Young Investigator Award from the Metabolomics Association of North America for her innovative work on the role that metabolism plays in cancer proliferation. She is an assistant professor in the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the College of Natural Science.
The highly competitive award is given to the most accomplished MANA early career member who has worked to push the boundaries of metabolomics research resulting in sustained, substantial and noteworthy contributions to the field.
