Guomin Zhu Named ASME Fellow

Photo of Guomin (George) ZhuGuomin (George) Zhu, associate professor of mechanical engineering, has been named a fellow of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

The ASME Board of Governors confers the fellow grade on worthy candidates to recognize their outstanding engineering achievements. Nominated by their peers, ASME fellows have had 10 or more years of active practice and at least 10 years of continuous active corporate membership in ASME.

Zhu's research in the automotive control lab focuses on using model-based control techniques to accurately control engine fuel injection timing and mass, charge mixture temperature and composition, and control the valve train and other engine subsystems.
