A new mobile application launched by the MSU Career Services Network will make jobs and internships more accessible to MSU students.

The new app, MySpartan, which can be downloaded for free for iPhones, iPads, and Motorola Droids, was created by MATRIX, a center in the MSU College of Social Science devoted to applying new technologies.

Garth Motschenbacher, director of employer relations for MSU’s College of Engineering, is one of the app’s co-creators who helped initiate, develop, and fund the project.

“We created MySpartan to bring MSU Career Services into the mobile age,” says Motschenbacher. “Making announcements on Twitter and Facebook groups is great but what we really need is to put the information in the students’ hands. The mobile apps help us do this.”

MySpartan is available for free at the Apple App Store and for the Droid via “Market.”
