Also known as "Lunch Bunch" or OTL, we have been going Out to Lunch for more than 15 years, when the Gourmet Group split into those who like to cook and those who'd rather leave that to the chefs! About 15-20 MSU CC members go Out to Lunch on the second Friday of each month unless the date conflicts with major special days like Yom Kippur or Good Friday, or a general Community Club event. This necessitates going Out to Lunch on the 3rd Friday in Feb/Mar/Apr 2020. The location changes each month depending upon the restaurant selected by that month's hostesses.
Members take turns hosting the lunch by:
- working in pairs to select then contact a restaurant in the greater Lansing area to determine their interest and availability,
- writing an email invitation to be sent by the OTL group chair,
- taking RSVPs,
- confirming the number of reservations with the restaurant, and
- showing up on the date chosen!
New members are not expected to host their first year.
