Tim Roels (BS Mech Egr '81) has joined the project engineering firm Sigma Design as a mechanical engineer as part of the Vancouver-based business’ ongoing expansion.
Roels brings 30 years of experience in product design and manufacturing to Sigma Design. He holds a master's degree in engineering from Oregon State University and a bachelor of science degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University. For more than 30 years he has been a part of development teams for medical devices, printer technology and battery technologies. His technical expertise includes R&D, advanced process development, prototype builds and tool design. In his new role, he will be involved in a range of product design projects through concept and design phases to manufacturing and optimization.
