Shawn P. McElmurry (MS ’02, PhD ’08, Environmental Egr ), professor of civil and environmental engineering at Wayne State University, Detroit, Mich., was recently selected by the American Society of Civil Engineer’s (ASCE) Committee on Faculty Development as a recipient of the 2013 ExCEEd New Faculty Excellence in Teaching Award.
Since joining WSU in 2008, McElmurry’s No. 1 priority has been to provide a dynamic and engaging learning environment for his students.
