Randy Beals (BS '92, MS '95 MAT SCI), a global engineering specialist for Magna International in Troy, has been named board chairman at the Advanced Casting Research Center at Worcester Polytechnic Institute in Massachusetts.
Beals holds several U.S. patents and often writes on non-ferrous metallurgy.
He received a bachelor’s degree (1992) and master’s degree (1995) in materials science and engineering at MSU.
