Michael Allman (BS Chem Egr ’82) has joined the Board of Advisors of Bit Stew Systems Inc., a world-leading provider of integrated, real-time network operations for the utility industry.

Since 1998, Allman has held a number of leadership positions with Sempra Energy, an $11 billion Fortune 300 energy services company in San Diego. His most recent position was chairman, president and CEO of Southern California Gas Company, the $4 billion, largest natural gas distribution company in the United States. He led his team in achieving record profits and a #1 ranking in customer service among large natural gas distribution companies.
Previously, Allman was president and CEO of Sempra Generation, a $2 billion electric generation business. He holds approximately 15 years of management experience in the electric generation and energy industries, through various executive roles at Sempra. Earlier, he had an 11-year career at The LEK/Alcar Consulting Group, holding business development and consulting roles in the U.S., Europe, and South Africa.
Allman is a certified management accountant and a certified internal auditor. He holds a master's degree in business administration from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Michigan State University.
