Lisa Uhlianuk Sekulich

April 4, 2018

Lisa Sekulich (BS CIV EGR '03) became the first female public works director for the city of Ellsworth, Maine, in March. She replaced Larry Wilson, who retired in January after working with the city for over 40 years.

Sekulich received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University in 2003 and is credentialed in Michigan and Maine. She has lived in Maine since 2010, and spent much of that time traveling around the state for her job as a senior construction engineer for Parsons Brinkerhoff.

“I’m excited to work on improving the area I live in and put the knowledge I’ve gained over the past 15 years to use,” Sekulich said.

Sekulich has worked on projects across the state, including the addition of a large box culvert in Seal Harbor.
