Kimberly Edginton Bigelow

Kimberly Edginton Bigelow (BS Eng Mechanics '03) joined the Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering at the University of Dayton as an assistant professor in January 2009, after receiving her PhD from Ohio State in December 2008. Her research emphasis is biomechanics, with a focus on monitoring balance and mobility to prevent falls in the elderly. She also teaches several courses. Bigelow was recently featured on a PBS video, as well as in an exhibit at the Center of Science and Industry in Columbus (Ohio), to encourage students to consider careers in engineering. She married Chris Bigelow (BA English '03) in May 2008. Kimberly.Bigelow@udayton.edu
