Kerri Miller

The Grand Rapids-based Fishbeck, Thompson, Carr and Huber (FTCH) has named Kerri Miller (BS Civ Egr ’97) as its first female leader. As principal, she will serve in the highest management and leadership role at the firm that sells civil engineering, architecture, environmental and construction management services.

Her main focus is business development and project management, where she is involved in marketing across many service sectors. Miller joined FTCH’s Civil Division in April 2000, and her contributions resulted in promotions to senior engineer in 2007, associate in 2008, and senior associate in 2012. Her design contributions, innate talent in building relationships, and commitment to client service has been instrumental to business development and project management for the firm.

As a senior civil engineer, Miller specializes in site development, utility design, and stormwater management design for higher education, municipal, and national clients. In addition, she has been involved with multiple sustainable design initiatives, including LEED project design work, third-party U.S. Green Building Council reviews, and LEED consulting services. 

She received a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Michigan State University in 1997. She became a licensed Professional Engineer in 2004, and is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. She is also a LEED Accredited Professional.
