John R. Chiminski (BS ELEC EGR ’86) was awarded the inaugural CPhl Pharma Awards Lifetime Achievement Award during the world’s largest pharmaceutical exhibition, CPhl Worldwide, at Messe Frankfurt, Germany, on Nov. 5, 2019.

Chiminski is the chair and CEO of Catalent, a leading global provider of advanced delivery technologies, development, and manufacturing solutions for drugs, biologics, gene therapies, and consumer health products.

Established in 2004, the CPhI Pharma Awards are among the most prestigious recognitions within the pharmaceutical industry. 

Over a 10-year period, Chiminski has led Catalent's transformation and today heads an organization employing nearly 13,000 people, including approximately 2,400 scientists and technicians at more than 35 facilities. In fiscal year 2019, the company generated over $2.5 billion in annual revenue.

Chiminski joined Catalent after more than 20 years of experience at GE Healthcare in engineering, operations, and senior leadership roles.

He holds a bachelor’s degree from Michigan State University and a master’s degree from Purdue University, both in electrical engineering, as well as a master's degree in management from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.
