Joe Brichta (’80 BS, ’82 MS, CIV EGR) recently joined Motiva in Houston as the vice president of major projects. He is responsible for building a project management organization to design and construct a new $10 billion petrochemical complex on the Texas gulf coast. He has almost 40 years of experience in the refinery industry.
Most recently he was vice president of Refining Major Projects and Turnaround Excellence at Andeavor, previously Tesoro and now part of Marathon Petroleum. He was responsible for executing all refining major projects and improving turnaround performance across their 10 U.S. refineries.
