Roll-Kraft announces the addition of Jason Munger (BS Mech Egr ‘01) as general manager – operation excellence.
He will be responsible for the production and operation of the Roll-Kraft regrind facility in Frankfort, Ill., as well as the company’s newest regrind facility in Houston, Texas. He has extensive experience in Lean processes and has previously led two new facility launches, including facility layout, equipment procurement, and hiring and training personnel.
Munger comes to Roll-Kraft from ASSA ABLOY, where he was the manager of operational improvements and Lean. He led the Lean Council and held Kaizen events that impacted a total of 12 facilities and significantly increased sales growth for the company.
Prior to ASSA ABLOY, he worked for Oil States Industries in Houston and Applied Research Associates at Tyndall Air Force Research Laboratory.
He is a graduate of Michigan State University with a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, and he furthered his education with graduate classes at Florida State University. He also has considerable training in Lean and holds a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt.
Roll-Kraft provides tooling for the tube and pipe and roll form manufacturing companies, with headquarters in Mentor, Ohio. It maintains other facilities in Frankfort, Ill., (Roll-Kraft Northern), Ontario, Canada (Roll-Kraft Ltd.), and Houston, Texas (Roll-Kraft Texas).
