Greig Patton (BS MECH EGR '83) is the new senior vice president of worldwide sales at MobileIron.
President and CEO of MobileIron Barry Mainz said Patton will lead in sales and channel strategy. "Greig's experience selling security solutions, working with channel partners, and building great teams will be a critical asset for our next phase of development," Mainz added.
"Enterprise computing is going through a major upheaval as the old PC infrastructure is replaced with mobile operating systems and apps," Patton said. "I'm looking forward to helping our customers realize the potential that mobile computing can bring to their businesses."
Patton has more than 20 years of experience and has been instrumental in scaling sales organizations for successful enterprise software companies. For the past nine years, he was in sales leadership roles at Symantec, rising to be senior vice president of the Americas for the Veritas division. He also had key sales leadership roles at Cisco Systems, Ascendent Telecommunications (acquired by BlackBerry), Maranti Networks, Brocade Communication Systems, and Silicon Graphics.
He received a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from Michigan State University in 1983 and an MBA from the University of Michigan, Stephen M. Ross School of Business.
