Betul Bilgin (PhD CHEM EGR ’14) is an "AlChE 35 Under 35" for success as one of AIChE’s youngest chemical engineering
members.
The award was created to acknowledge the successes of some of AIChE’s youngest members, all under the age of 35, and to promote the achievements of this generation of chemical engineers who are changing the face of the profession. She will be honored at an awards reception at the 2017 AIChE Annual Meeting in Minneapolis from Oct. 29 through Nov. 3, 2017, along with the other winners.
At MSU, she was mentored by S. Patrick Walton in the MSU Department of Chemical Engineering & Materials Science. She received a PhD in chemical engineering in 2014.
Today, she is a clinical assistant professor at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
