Tom Wolff, senior associate to Dean Leo Kempel, was the host on Sept. 1, 2016, when a Spartan civil engineer who graduated from the College of Engineering 66 years ago returned to campus for a visit and tour.
Alexander Radzibon (’50) and his daughter, Kathleen Radionoff (MSU Broad graduate, 1980) met with Dean Kempel and looked around the engineering building and the environmental engineering labs at the Engineering Research Complex on south campus. They completed their visit at the Civil Infrastructure Laboratory on Jolly Road, where they learned more about the large-scale structural testing and structural-fire testing done at MSU.
Radzibon is now retired and lives in Alma. He spent 26 years with the Wayne County Road commission, working on the Detroit freeway system. He also spent 12 years as the Public Works director in Alma.
Radionoff is the dean of Professional and Continuing Education at Madison Area Technical College and lives in the Milwaukee area.
