2014–Present: Research assistant at AMSaC laboratory at Michigan State University

  • Develop a peripheral nerve stimulation device for human sensory augmentation
  • Develop a wide dynamic range multi-channel portable electrochemical instrument for in-field measurement
  • Develop a high precision readout interface for arrays of nano-pore for single molecule sensing
  • Cadence IC design tool is used for schematic and layout implementation using ON 0.6µm and TSMC 180nm technology

2012–2014: Research assistant at Beta laboratory at Boğaziçi University

  • Research, design and fabrication of 3 distinct chips in UMC 180nm technology using Mentor IC design suit
  • Help Develop discrete time, continuous time and hybrid sigma delta ADCs
  • Propose a design with precision higher than 85dB with a power consumption of less than 5µW in 25 KHz BW

Projects Portfolio

 

Project: AHA

PurposeThrough stimulation of peripheral nervous system using our proprietary electrotactile stimulation technology, we seek to further our agenda of enabling seamless Machine-to-Human Communication (MHC). We are currently holding human trials to evaluate our electrotactile MHC.

 


 

Sina Parsnejad aMEASURE electrochemical demo

Project: aMEASURE

Purpose: We designed and implemented of a multichannel portable and adaptable electrochemical test station capable of reading and adapting to amperometric currents from 1nA to 1mA powered and controlled with a smartphone through a USB OTG. The device is currently being tested in sub-Saharan African regions with a prototype sensor for rapid Malaria detection. 


 

Single molecule Detection amplifier

Project: Single Molecule Detection

Purpose: We designed and Implemented a high-precision current buffer structure in ON 0.6µm technology and fabricated through MOSIS for nano-pores capable of detecting single molecule events while consuming low power and area to support an array implementation.

 


 

 

Sina Parsnejad Sigma-delta ADC

 Project: Ultra low-power Sigma-delta data converter

 Purpose: I designed and implementated an ultra-low power consuming data converter for implantable systems using Mentor Graphics IC design package. The project include research, circuit and layout design and fabrication of an ultra-low power consuming continuous time sigma delta ADC chip in UMC 180nm technology accessed through Euro Practice design company.
