This is your opportunity to discover what we have to offer! Listen to an engineering presentation, and see a sample of engineering labs, classrooms, computer labs, and other service centers. The production and tour allow you to talk to staff and current MSU engineering students. Find first-hand the advantages of studying engineering at MSU and what it takes to be a successful engineering student.

Fall Semester presentations and tours begin in October and run through December.

Preview Day is an excellent opportunity to check out the College of Engineering, held in early October every year. Meet with professors, tour laboratories and see interactive engineering demonstrations, learn about majors and careers, talk with current MSU students, view undergraduate research posters and projects, and much more!

Prospective Student Presentations will be held Mondays and Fridays, starting on October 7th.

Juniors and seniors interested in engineering at MSU will learn about engineering majors, the Cornerstone & Residential Experience, resources for academic success, co-ops and internships, research opportunities, study abroad, engineering clubs, etc.

Please check in 15 minutes before the presentation in room 3540 Engineering Building. The exhibition will start promptly at 3:30 pm, with a tour following immediately. The Presentation and Tour last about 1.5 hours.

This presentation is geared toward students who have participated in a previous prospective exhibition and want to learn more about the steps after admission. It focuses on the transition from high school to a university, housing options, scholarships, tips for academic success, student involvement, etc.

Please check in 15 minutes before the presentation in Wonders Hall, C213. The exhibition will start promptly at 3:30 pm, with the tour following immediately after. The Presentation and Tour last from 1 hour to 1.5 hours.

High school juniors and seniors interested in exploring engineering at MSU will learn about engineering majors, the Cornerstone & Residential Experience, resources for academic success, co-ops and internships, research opportunities, study abroad, engineering student clubs, etc.

Please check in 15 minutes before the presentation in room 3540 Engineering Building. The exhibition will start promptly at 3:30 pm (or 10:00 am for specific occasions), with the tour following immediately after. The Presentation and Tour last from 1 hour to 1.5 hours.

Summer

Prospective Student Presentations will be held on Mondays and some Fridays, starting on June 13th. Please check in 15 minutes before the presentation in room 1502-1503 Engineering Building. The exhibition will begin promptly at 3:30 pm, followed by the tour. This presentation and tour will last 1 hour.

If you cannot attend these regular presentations, you are welcome to call our office at 517-353-7282 to make an appointment, or you can send your questions to the future engineer's email at future-engineer@egr.msu.edu

Moreover, prospective students can attend the Office of Admission's Green and White Days, where academic information, including an engineering presentation, is given. The program is available in late July. Please be sure to RSVP for the program.


 

Please note:

  • Prospective students will meet with personnel from the Office of Recruitment and K-12 Outreach. They will be happy to guide you and answer all your questions. Prospective students do not meet with advisors.
  • To provide good customer service and personal attention, the tours have a maximum capacity of 20 participants.
  • Engineering Presentations & Tours are not offered on the weekends.
  • Classroom observations are not offered.
  • Transfer students are welcome. Be ready to discuss the transfer process; you can bring a copy of your transcripts.

Scheduling a Presentation and Tour

  1. Click on the large green button below, which will take you to an events calendar.
  2. Select your desired presentation and tour at least a few days before your visit. If the time is not selectable, it is complete. Fill out the registration form.
  3. After you click the Register button at the bottom of the form, you will immediately receive a confirmation email with information about the selected tour.
